“Who’s That Girl?” is the autobiography of hip hop artist, actress and fashion designer Eve. I’m not a super fan of Eve but I have enjoyed some of her work over the years. I liked Eve’s story. She’s a smart woman who accomplished a lot in her career and personal life.
Eve grew up in an economically disadvantaged community in Philadelphia that gave her an opportunity. Her family had struggles but they seem strong in the ways that are important. They gave her security and a good foundation even though she cut ties with her biological father.
Eve has good business and relationship instincts. She has a strong sense of self, work ethic and drive to succeed. Eve knows when to draw boundary lines but not limit herself. I recommend this book to hip hop fans, pop fans and anyone in need of career or personal inspiration.
I listened to Who’s That Girl? on audiobook. Eve was a good narrator for her biography.
