What villain actually had a good point?
Arthur Fleck had a difficult life and was mistreated but he still isn’t a sympathetic character to me. His actions were unnecessary and he did too much. His mental health struggles were addressed so that wasn’t an excuse for his actions.
The movie “Joker” is highly problematic. It’s too violent. But “I don’t understand why everyone is so rude.” was a simple, relatable and poignant line from the film and a valid reflection of our modern world.
