What Happened to this Type of Music? 🎶🎧 💿

I’m not sure what to call it.  I think it can be described as dance techno with a bit of soul.  Where did it go? 

Generally speaking I hate techno music.  It’s the worst music mankind has created but I like these kind of songs. 

This style of electronic music suddenly disappeared after having a flash of popularity in the 90s.  It’s like this type of music evaporated from popular music.

A strong voice over a techno beat.  Why did we stop?

This melody inspired comedy.  It was the theme to an ongoing SNL skit.  I think there was a movie too.

NBA games were never the same.

My hypothetical wedding song and an ode to spinsterhood.

A catchy dance song about homelessness and probably mental illness. 

I had this cassette tape.  I remember playing the heck out of this song.  This song reminds me of my college years.
