Just when you think things can’t get worse here comes Vivek Ramaswamy. Vivek Ramaswamy is running for the governor of Ohio against Amy Acton. Amy Acton and her brother were victims of abuse in their childhoods. They have not been in contact with their mother since they were removed from her household. Amy and her brother were raised by their father.
Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign located Amy Acton’s long estranged mother. She was put in a political ad and she denies that her children were abused and neglected. Her husband was arrested and indicted for crimes against his step children. He plead not guilty to the charges and remained a fugitive until he died. He never stood trial against the accusations.
Amy Acton’s mother continues to defend her husband who chose to run from the law instead of defening himself in court. Vivek Ramaswamy is using Amy Acton’s mother against her in his campaign effort. I can’t believe what I’m seeing. Vivek Ramaswamy defends his ad.

Amy Acton reminds me of Madeleine Soto. At thirteen Madeleine was killed by her mother’s boyfriend in 2024. Madeleine slept in the bed with her mother’s boyfriend the day before she went missing. Madeleine’s mother defended her boyfriend who is serving a life sentence for the rape and murder of Madeleine Soto. There are numerous stories like this. I’m a news junkie and I hate to hear stories that involve “mom’s boyfriend”.
Vivek should be ashamed of himself. He probably increased support for Amy Acton with that stupid ad. I know I’m not the only person that hates stories about “mom’s boyfriend” and is happy to see a victim of such tragic circumstances thrive. Amy Acton is a doctor and I hope she will be the next governor of Ohio.
