Nothing really but for the sake of this exercise I will say a cruise ship; or maybe a battle ship in the Navy.

Question of the Day 3.27.26 💉😷🤒🤧🪦
Daily writing promptHow have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic? The COVID pandemic began during the first Trump Administration. Trump said it was a hoax and that it would go away on it’s own. He did next to nothing about COVID except start conspiracy theories and interfere with local and state governments that tried to slow the spread of the virus.
Global supply chains were interrupted. The economy slowed globally. Milestones like graduations were cancelled. American taxpayers were cheated by fraudulent PPP loans that were haphazardly established by the Trump Administration. People died. None of us had ever seen anything like it.
I will never forget any of this and I’m disappointed that so many Americans overlook Trump’s incompetence and lack of empathy in handling a global health crisis and decided to reelected him. Now the US is involved in attacking Iran with Israel which may be the potential start of a global fuel crisis. I will never understand the reasoning behind supporting Donald Trump.
My condolences to those that suffered and died during the pandemic. Some people complained about isolation but I actually loved the COVID lockdowns. I was fortunate that my finances were not greatly affected by the pandemic. Staying home, watching TV, reading, cooking, exercising was great. The pandemic lockdown was relaxing and cozy. I think the world should plan another shut down at some point. Shut social media off and limit TV too.
With that said it was six to seven years ago. I’m over it. The world still turns.

Daily writing promptYou’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?If I was traveling cross country I would take a plane. I like road trips so a bus or car is not out of the question. I’ve never taken a train but I am interested in taking a train ride. A bike is absolutely out of the question. I would only consider traveling cross country by bike in an apocalyptic event and even then it would be a last resort.

End Times Playlist
This is for fun so don’t take this seriously. I like to make playlists and post them on this blog. But I have to admit. There are things going on that I’ve been hearing end time teachers talk about. The Bible says we don’t know the day or the hour but some of the current events of the day sound like end time prophesy I’ve been hearing of for years. I call myself a believer but I have to admit I’m taken aback by it all. Things that seemed far out and unbelievable twenty years ago are on the news. Welp!

Daily writing promptHow has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?I’ve learned to make the most of every opportunity and life experience. Nothing is perfect. Patriotic Education – 2026
I wrote a post in 2020 called “Patriotic Education”. I wrote about my participation in the American educational system. I went through a public educational system k-12 outside of Detroit, Michigan. The student body was diverse. My high school graduating class was about 85% Black. I said all of this for context.
MAGA says they want American students to have a patriotic education. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and I think I had a patriotic education. Every day from kindergarten to fifth grade my school had a sing a patriotic song. I was one of three songs for six years. The choices were “Star Spangled Banner”, “This Land is Your Land” and “My Country Tis of Thee”. We also said the “Pledge of Allegiance” every morning. That seems pretty patriotic to me.
The point of this post is that I’ve reviewed the post from 2020 and two of the links I posted are no longer available. The You Tube posting to “This Land is Your Land” is gone. “My Country Tis of Thee” is gone as well. That strikes me as ironic. I’m unsure of the reason but I will post them again along with some of the lyrics and the national anthem. Hopefully these won’t be wiped from the internet.
