  • Question of the Day 7.15.24🛗

    What bothers you and why?

I don’t like it when someone is waiting to get on an elevator and they don’t stand back to let passengers already on the elevator get off.  That has always grinded my gears.  About a month ago I was frazzled and in a rush to get to an appointment and I did that to someone else.  🤦🏿‍♀️😬

  • Question of the Day 7.14.24 🪞✝️💵

What do you think gets better with age?

Self image and confidence improved with age.  I’ve learned a lot about myself over time and most of it is positive.  The world is competitive.   I think I measure up against others pretty well.

My relationship with Christ has gotten stronger over time.  Prayer, Bible study, faith and time has revealed a lot to me.  God’s word is real.

Financial matters improved.  Working every day and being conscious of your finances pays off and creates stability and prosperity.

  • Delusional Feminist Nonsense 2024

Celebrity women that make feminist statements are delusional or flat out lying and gas lighting. They present themselves as independent women but they are usually attached to ambitious and or successful men. I think they aren’t being completely honest by acting as if they are independent women.

I came to know La La Anthony when she was an MTV VJ in the early 00s. La La married basketball star and first round NBA pick in 2010. Carmelo played in the NBA for nineteen seasons and competed in the Olympics four time. He has a net worth of $160M. Regardless of what happened in the Anthony marriage La La benefited professionally and personally from her union with the millionaire ball player. Anyone that believes otherwise is believing feminist nonsense.

Cher is a legendary pop and film star whose career has spanned five decades. She got her start with her husband Sonny Bono. Sonny was ambitious and had success as a young song writer. In his later life he was the mayor of Palm Springs, California and a congressman. I’m sure Sonny benefited from Cher’s youth and beauty. Their marriage was a symbiotic relationship that created growth for both of them.

I’m not offended by Cher’s answer to this question. I think it’s a fair answer. However the implications are feminist gas lighting.

Tennis star Serena Williams appeared at this year’s ESPY Awards. She reacted to the controversial speech Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker made during a college commencement speech. Many people found Harrison’s speech to be sexist. I found it to be a little misguided.

Serena made the statement “We don’t need you”. Serena is successful due to her father’s drive and attention. After becoming a tennis prodigy and star she married Alexis Ohanian. He is the co founder of the social media site Reddit and has a net worth of $70M. Her tennis career was established long before her marriage nonetheless Serena has the love and support of a highly successful man that adores her. I’m sure she enjoys the relationship and the benefits of being married to this man. I don’t think she shared a positive and respectful message to young women or men.

The Spice Girls were a pop sensation in the late 90s and early 00s. Youthful, feminine sex appeal was a part of their brand that made them wealthy and successful. They had a feminist mantra of “Girl Power”. I don’t recall them explaining what that meant.

Mel C is the only Spice Girl that never married. She had a seven year relationship with a music producer for seven years. Victoria married one of the wealthiest football (soccer) players in the world. Geri married a Formula 1 team boss. Mel B. has a daughter with actor and comedian Eddie Murphy. Emma’s husband is an R & B singer. Girl Power has it’s limits. There’s nothing wrong with being a successful professional woman. But if feminists are going to speak on such matters they should talk about a woman’s personal life as well.

It’s really OK if a man supports a woman and leads her to or adds to profession or personal success. I think that’s what they are supposed to do. Men and women need to appreciate and respect each other more. Acknowledge how marriage benefits both parties and is a blessing. What’s wrong with that? Stop the gaslighting, lies and delusions of grandeur please.

  • Question of the Day 7.12.24 🌹💝🥂😘

    What’s your definition of romantic?

Considerate, caring, comforting, affirming gestures between people that are attracted to each other.

  • Question of the Day 7.7.24

    Describe your most memorable vacation.

Funny you should ask.  My cousin (mother of the girl on the left) sent me this photo over the weekend.  This is me and my cousin at my grand dad’s house in Arkansas around 1982.  Look how mischievous we look.

This was a family road trip from Detroit, Michigan to Forrest City, Arkansas.  I remember a lot about this summer vacation that happened over forty years ago.  It was fun and a pleasant childhood memory.

  • Question of the Day 7.3.24 💄

    What are your daily habits?

I wear make up almost every day.  I usually wear make up to run errands on Saturday.  I apply eyeliner, mascara and lipstick daily.  I also use a fragrance.  I’ve gone through this process daily for for many years.

Women of bygone eras were very concerned about men’s money or lack thereof. Are these traditional women and “trad wives” that social media says should be the role models for young women? They were shameless and direct in letting men know their intention. I supposed that’s the old fashioned way.

Marilyn let her audience know how they can make her life easier?

They know how to spot a man of distinction.

There’s no dice if there’s no ice.

Here’s Eartha Kitt and her simple Christmas list.

The Raelettes let Ray know where he can go without money.

Otis Redding tried to convince Carla Thomas he was a country bumpkin in “Tramp”.
