  • Late Summer Review: Love, Pamela

I listened to Love, Pamela on audio book. It’s the life story of actress, 90s pop culture icon and sex symbol Pamela Anderson Lee. I enjoyed the book even though it was a bit dull at points and her voice was a bit monotone. Most of the tension is at the beginning of the book that discusses her child hood. Her parents had a rocky but long lasting marriage. Pam was taken advantage of sexually when she was a girl by a female baby sitter and a young man she met socially.

Overall Love, Pamela is a light hearted story about a poor Canadian girl’s chance discovery by an agent and rise to stardom. She enjoyed her Hollywood lifestyle and admires the characters she met along the way. She felt honored to be a part of the projects she worked on like posing for Playboy. Her story is feminine and charming.

This book is a testament to the power of feminine sex appeal and the opportunities it offers. I admire women that embrace femininity and understand that it is powerful. Pam accomplished a lot for animal rights and environmental causes due to her notoriety. Pam enjoys art and literature. She loves being a mother to her two sons.

Pamela seems like a cool person. She always seemed that way to me. Pamela Anderson has had very interesting experiences that give her an interesting life perspective. This book isn’t very exciting but you may like it if you like Pam and pop culture.

  • Question of the Day 8.28.23

    Daily writing prompt
Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

I traveled to Israel in 2004 for nine days. I saw the sights, floated in the Dead Sea and was baptized in the Jordan River. The trip was overwhelming because so much information was shared. I would like the opportunity to visit Israel again.

  • Summer 2023 – I Got COVID

I caught COVID for the first time last week. It started with an itchy throat and ears. The next day I slept till after noon, got up briefly and went back to bed the rest of the day. I slept most of the next day as well. The HR department at my job told me to I needed to stay off work for five days. I slowly got better and on the fifth day I got a negative result on an at home COVID test.

Having COVID is the sickest I’ve ever been (aside from side effects from the COVID vaccine). The only thing that comes close was getting chicken pox as a teenager. I didn’t have to be hospitalized and I recovered fairly quick but I definitely see that COVID is a serious matter. I understand how it can be highly concerning for children, elderly or those that already have health problems.

I wish people had been more level headed about COVID and didn’t make it a divisive political matter. Infectious diseases are not a matter of politics.

  • Empty Well

You might be trying to draw water from an empty well. You might be trying to get blood out of a stone. You might be trying to withdraw funds the account might be depleted. The man that wrote this tweet is an empty well, stone, depleted account and so are the >14k people that liked this tweet.

This man is shallow and has a shallow perception of women. His interest in women is surface level. This man has no interest in the woman’s humanity and her story. He can’t seek to understand her personality, intellect or heart. He doesn’t have the emotional intelligence to navigate a relationship with a woman. He doesn’t have the ability to have an intimate bond with a woman. He can only fake a relationship and use it to satisfy his needs.

The dehumanization of women is common in early twenty first century western culture. Women are largely seen as sexual tools, emotional support animals and a variety of occupations that bring other people comfort. The dehumanization spans race, economic background and education levels but Black women are most commonly dehumanized.

Women need to take time and inspect the well. Check his account. Make sure he’s flesh and blood and not stone. Make sure there is a supply of good character to draw from.

I suspected Black social media personalities to be shills long ago. This is a post from Justin Sparks. I don’t expect you to be familiar with that name. He’s Missouri State Representative from St. Louis County, Missouri. Here is Rep. Sparks citing social media personality Dr. Umar Johnson. If you follow the thread you end up on a conservative site with a bunch of non Black people lamenting the demise of the Black family.

This is a Republican politician of little notoriety from a so called “conservative” state posting videos of a supposedly pro Black social media personality. I’ve known of Dr. Umar for a long time and he’s always seemed like a fast talking scammer to me. All Umar does it talk. He’s been doing it for years. He talks in never ending circles with the cadence of a poetry slam artist or Baptist preacher.

I think a lot of well known Black social media personalities were paid off by so called conservatives/White supremacists. The Black social media personalities claim they are trying to help the Black community and then go on to belittle Black Americans in one way or another. All they do is talk from anonymous locations. Sometimes they are completely anonymous. Years pass and they accomplish nothing, not even a canned food drive. They just keep talking about the same topic.

    https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2017/03/21/520522240/the-emergence-of-the-white-troll-behind-a-black-face

The pro Blacks, Divesters, Black MGTOW, Passport Bros., conservative Christians and the Black feminists are all suspicious. (so is the crowd on Twitter that hates their family, friends and co workers. I think they work for a different group of people) They cause rifts between Black people because of their negativity and brazen activities. They are either shills or heavily influenced by conservative politicians. If they’re Republican that’s their prerogative but I wish they would just say it instead of shadowing Republican talking points.

The covert relationship between Republicans and Black You Tubers is designed to politically influence African Americans to see conservatives favorably, gain Republican votes or encourage Black people to not vote because that typically means fewer votes for Democrats. Republicans do all of this instead of campaigning for Black votes. There is proof that fake accounts from Eastern Europe were set up to influence the 2016 election.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-49987657

Republicans don’t care one iota about Black families. Neither do most Black You Tubers. I’ll believe that people care about Black families when I see them being more respectful towards Black women. Black social media spaces are a manipulative scam.

  • There is no Honesty Without Transparency

Some people define honesty as not actively telling a lie. If that is the standard in a relationship where there needs to be a level of trust and vulnerability between the parties involved the bar needs to be raised. If there is no transparency there is dishonesty.

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/transparent

You don’t owe it to everyone to reveal every detail about yourself. Privacy and discretion offer protection and dignity. It should be appreciated. But in some relationships there must be transparency in order to be fair to both parties and achieve trust and intimacy. It takes time and discernment to know when to keep quiet and be distant and when to open up to others.

Some relationships require trust to function well and be satisfying. All parties involved need to be open and forthcoming with information that relates to their relationship or joint venture. If one party gives the other a false impression through not sharing information that concerns the joint endeavor this leads to a false reality for one of the parties. If the parties involved are honorable and respect and care for each other they don’t want there to be any false impressions. False impressions lead to hurt, anger and feelings of betrayal.

If one party is not telling the entire story and creating a false impression they don’t respect the other. They are self centered and are creating leverage for themselves. They are in that relationship to use the other party.

In a friendship, romantic relationship or business relationship it is important to build trust. One way to do that is to share truths and be considerate of the other parties interest. It takes time to build trust and intimacy. Use discernment and ask God for help and guidance through prayer.

Accept transparency and nothing else in relationships that deserve it. If a person can’t offer transparency in a relationship that requires trust keep them at arms length or don’t interact with them at all. If you can’t be transparent with another don’t fake a relationship. Without transparency there is no honesty, intimacy, trust or respect. Dishonesty is more than a matter of actively telling lies.

  • Be a Lady and Don’t Fall for the Feminist Nonsense

Feminists have convinced women that being lady like is oppressive. Feminist nonsense believes that there is freedom in vulgarity and explicit sexuality. Feminist nonsense believes that putting your body on display is part of maturing and coming of age and it’s what a woman in her prime should do.

There is more power in being reserved, keeping some things to yourself and being lady like. If pop star Lizzo didn’t live by the nonsense feminist creed she likely wouldn’t be getting sued by her former dancers that recently made legal claims of sexual harassment and a hostile work environment.

    https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/01/entertainment/lizzo-sued-by-dancers/index.html

Lizzo’s dancers say that they felt pressured to visit a strip club in Amsterdam and participate in interactive activities at the club. If Lizzo was more reserved and upheld professional boundaries she would have chosen a less salacious activity than visiting the red light district in Amsterdam with her back up dancers. She would have chosen a more wholesome team building exercise.

Lizzo assumed everyone was comfortable with the XXX rated extra curricular activity but there was clearly a misunderstanding. Casual displays of sexuality can lead to confusion and misunderstandings which leads to offense and people getting hurt and feeling violated. It’s delusional to think otherwise.

I’m sure Lizzo could have found something else to do in Amsterdam. If she really wanted to visit the Red Light District she would have been better off doing it with a close friend that she knows well or her significant other instead of a group of people that worked for her. That would have been discernment.

I like Lizzo. She is beautiful, talented and has a big personality. A bit of mystery would add to her star power as opposed to being as accessible and on display. I also don’t think she’s doing herself any favors by being a “body positivity” ambassador. She would be a better advocate for full figured women by presenting herself as in designer, well tailored, sexy clothing. I wish she presented herself with more sophistication, a bit quieter and softer. It would be the same Lizzo but with more genuine sex appeal. Lizzo presents herself as a clown and the world has cheered her on up until now.

I’m unsure what Lizzo’s dancers were expecting from employment on Lizzo’s tour. She is known for her brash personality and boldly pushing boundaries. Remember the dress she wore court side to that Lakers game? Lizzo’s dancers also would have been better served by having more reserved and lady like standards. They could have stayed home the night their colleagues went out in Amsterdam. They could have decided to not participate in the interactive activities at the club. They had a choice.

The dancers have several complaints. They bought into the feminist nonsense but they are victims and take no responsibility for their own choices. The dancers for a tour that celebrates feminism felt as if they couldn’t decline the offer to the strip club. I don’t think they can claim that they or even Lizzo are empowered by feminism. Being lady like and modest is more empowering for women than modern feminist ideals.

Being a lady, reserved and modest is subjective. It’s 2023 and I’m in favor of modern women asserting themselves and being expressive. Discernment is important to know how to balance femininity with modernity. The discernment is what we’re missing. The lack of discernment and delusion is the foundation of feminist nonsense.
